Shark Day....

This is my Monday face, in case you were wondering....
 Yup, it's here...

I tossed and turned a lot last night so I'm having what I've dubbed a 'shark day*'... I'm fine as long as I keep moving...
*Have you ever heard that sharks have to keep moving to stay alive?  I'm not sure if it's true or not..

You know what makes me feel better on shark days? Dressing up fancier than normal.
You know what makes me feel AMAZING on ANY day?
All your wonderful, sweet comments.
 hoodie - bunny's (santa cruz)
boots - target
dress - crossroads thrift store
shirt - f21
earrings - f21 (picked out by the littles!)

Thank you guys sooooooo much.  Seriously.  The past 2 days just gave my ego a boost for the year.  Keep this up and my head wont fit into the cute hats I have for winter.

Deets...

I can't wait to see what everyone else is wearing

  2. that dress is perfect on you, and such a great, vibrant colors. and those earrings are lovely little rainbow drops of cheerful -- do they make happy little windchime sounds when you move your head? that's my favorite part about dangly earrings. =)

p.s. i'm pretty sure the shark thing is true. at least so far as sharks need water to flow over their gills so they can extract oxygen, and they're not able to make that flow if they're not moving.

  6. that dress is insanely cute! And I love how you've adapted it to Fall by adding the shirt underneath. So put-together, and then perfectly offset by the messy boots. So good!

  8. That dress is amazing. And I love the edge it gives your outfit by pairing it with boots. Oh, and I am jealous how well you pull off putting shirts under dresses. I never seem to make it look right.

  12. I am loving the undershirt paired with the dress! And super cute boots!

To answer your question: the balloon was held with ropes the entire time to we wouldn't fly away. An actual ride would have been without the ropes, but it was still fun :-)

  13. Dressing up so totally helps. I think it's the stress/excitement of this whole grad school thing because I have not been sleeping easily either. But back to the outfit, that color purple is so totally fabulous and your earrings are pretty much the best thing ever! Thanks for the closeups of your jewelry this week. I'm loving them. (And you're welcome for the essay!)

  14. Oooo, oo, oooo I love the pairing of the boots and the ultra feminine dress!
And the "undone" boots are genius. I'm stealing that idea as soon as I find a pair of boots as killer as yours.

  19. i love that you can pull off those earrings. i would look like an art teacher. and i REALLY love how you paired that dress with those boots. that is something i am incapable of. i have two looks i can pull of without looking like i'm wearing a halloween costume: j crew catalog wannabe or 1960s time traveler. this looks great on you.
